The 8–10 month sleep regression
Around 8–10 months, new movement and separation worries can disturb sleep.
26 August 2026 · 2 min read · A Baby Bee Blossom family note
From our home
Your baby may wake and look for you or practise crawling and pulling up in the cot. Not every baby has this sleep regression.
What to expect
- More waking or crying when you leave.
- Practising new movement at bedtime.
- Shorter naps or harder settling.
What can help
- Give safe floor time to practise new movement.
- Keep bedtime steps short and familiar.
- Offer calm comfort when separation feels hard.
