The 4-month sleep regression
Around 4 months, sleep cycles change. Your baby may wake more often between them.

From our home
The 4-month sleep regression is a common name for this change. It does not happen at the same time for every baby, and you have not done anything wrong.
What to expect
- More waking at night.
- Shorter naps.
- Needing more help to settle.
What can help
- Use the same short, calm bedtime steps.
- Keep the cot firm, flat and clear.
- Check hunger, illness and nappies before calling it a regression.
